The Reid’s Fine Furnishings team made the trip to High Point, North Carolina in April for the 2018 Spring High Point Furniture Market
While there, we stocked up on design ideas and invested in new inventory that is sure to turn heads! We also selected a few one-of-a-kind antiques, including pieces from France and Germany.
These new items should be arriving to our showroom in late June.
Our takeaways from this season’s High Point Furniture Market adventure:
- The addition of the Tomlinson line which specializes is high end contemporary upholstered furnishings.
- The addition of new lighting sources, as well as the expansion of existing lighting collections.
- Stickley has returned to their roots with Mission furniture, which we’re excited to see! The company has added many downsized Mission pieces for smaller spaces.
- Our love affair with Vladimir Kagan continues. Obviously.
Getting the blues in the best way
One could accuse us of getting the summertime blues at High Point Furniture Market. But who could blame us?! There were a lot of blues featured at the spring show, and big, bold hues in the royal and cobalt families are huge this year. Greens of all shades and bright citron hues also made their mark in everything from paint colors and wallpaper to artwork and upholstery.
We look forward to showing you what we discovered at the spring High Point Market and are already eagerly anticipating the fall show in October!
